A Clare MEP claims the level of division currently within the European Parliament is reflective of the political landscape more broadly.
It comes as Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen has secured a second term as European Commission President after 401 members of the European Parliament voted in her favour and 284 voted against.
It’s 18 votes more than she received when she became the first female president of the European Commission in 2019.
