A Clare Pharmacist is urging customers to give plenty of notice when placing their orders amid a worldwide shortage of essential medicines.
The latest Medicine shortages Index shows that 60% of Irish people have been affected by the scarcity of prescription drugs in the last twelve months.
The number of pharmaceutical products out of stock reached a record high of 289 earlier this year, with supplies of Aspirin, anti-depressants & blood pressure regulators particularly lacking.
