A primary school in South-East Clare is set to benefit from a state-of-the-art renovation.

The Department of Education has approved a request from Gaelscoil Donncha Rua in Shannon, which currently operates from prefabs, to construct a new school building.

The project will see the addition of 4 new classrooms and 2 new special education units, which it’s estimated will enable the student population to double from 70 to 140.
