Clare Public Urged To Avail Of Live Saving Drug Overdose Prevention Training

The Clare public are being urged to avail of free training that will aim to prevent and reverse the effects of drug overdoses.

The government has this week announced its intention to roll out the ‘Naloxone programme’ with Gardaí and community workers throughout the country.

Last year, 171 people were treated for drug addiction in Clare and currently Homeless Charity Novas is offering training to active users here, along with friends and family on how to administer the medication in emergency situations.
