Clare has recorded a 28 percent increase in the number of dot ie domain names registered compared to pre-pandemic levels.
Figures from the IE Domain Registry show this county saw 1,039 new .ie websites documented in 2021.
Clare’s figure is less than 2 percent of the national total of more than 57,000 domains.
The most popular categories for new websites were in the areas of business, home and garden, arts and entertainment, and health.
