Clare resident goes on trial over Dublin murder

The trial of a Clare man accused of murdering a man in Dublin nearly four years ago begins today.

At the Central Criminal Court yesterday, Criostoir MacCarthaigh, with an address at Leitrim, Cree, Kilrush pleaded not guilty to murdering 35 year old David White on or between the 24th and 26th of September 2008.

The security guard’s body was discovered at a derelict cemetery in Palmerstown.

A jury was sworn in to hear the trial, which will get underway proper this afternoon.
