The Sunday Times has ranked school nationally, based on the average proportion of students who have gone to University over the past three years and found that has been the case for 70% of graduates from Scoil Mhuire.

This is the 34th highest of any school in Ireland.

Another all-girls school, Colaiste Mhuire in Ennis, the Meanscoil na mBraithre Boys School in Ennistymon and the mixed-student Rice College in Ennis are also in the top 100 in Ireland.
