A Clare senator is urging his fellow politicians to condemn what he calls “total nonsense” being spread in both houses of the Oireachtas around migration.
Senator Timmy Dooley’s comments come following an impassioned contribution from Kerry Deputy Michael Healy-Rae in the Dáil this week in which he criticised the phenomenon of people telling “blatant lies” on social media.
The Tulla Fianna Fáil senator took particular aim at Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath who has previously described inward migration as a “colonisation of our country”.
