Clare's Senator says steps must be taken to ensure visitors to the county spend more time here.
Martin Conway has been praising the team working at the Cliffs of Moher as new figures reveal the landmark was the second most popular spot with tourists in Ireland last year.
Visitor numbers there grew by 16% last year, and Senator Conway believes the Cliffs will eventually become the most visited site in the country.
However, he claims that many people only come to North Clare for day trips, which needs to be addressed.
