T he new entity set to take charge of an independent Shannon Airport has been urged to do business with one of it’s biggest critics.

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary says privitisation should have been the way to go for Clare’s international airport, and criticised what he called it’s high costs at the same convention where plans for it’s future were disclosed on Monday.

However, it’s widely anticipated that the carrier will expand operations at Shannon next year, and North Clare Senator Martin Conway feels the airline needs to be part of the airport’s future.
