Clare is set to be well represented at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition next year.
17 entries from 8 schools across the county have qualified for the 2012 competition which has now been widened to accommodate 550 finalists.
The Clare pupils entering this year come from Ennis Community College, Kilrush Community School, Mary Immaculate Secondary School in Lisdoonvarna, Meánscoil Na Mbráithre, Scariff Community College, Scoil Mhuire, St John Bosco Community College and St. Joseph’s Secondary School
A total of 1743 entries were received for the event at the RDS next year with over 2 thousand girls and 16 hundred boys represented.
