Two Clare sites are set to benefit from a nationwide 3 million euro investment into forest parks and recreational areas.

The joint initiative by Coillte and the Department of Rural and Community Development will see 100,000 euro allocated to resurface the Car parks at Cahermurphy and Cratloe Woods.

It will also see the access roads at both sites resurfaced and improved.

Trail repairs on the East Clare Way and the maintenance of the car park at Gragan’s Wood in Ballyvaughan are also in line to be completed with the investment.
