Clare TD Timmy Dooley has been fined 500 euro after pleading guilty to a charge of careless driving.
The 40 year old from The Old Forge Tulla initially faced three charges of dangerous driving arising from an incident near Kilrush on the 21st of September last year.
However two of the charges were struck out by the state and the third reduced to careless driving.
The matter was before Kilrush District Court yesterday but Deputy Dooley was present.
Judge Joseph Mangan fined him 500 euro.
