Clare woman shortlisted as one of Ireland’s top Business people

A County Clare Woman is one of 42 people nationwide shortlised for a place on this year’s Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Social Impact Programme.

Johanna Mary Tracey from Ennis will take part in the Social Entrepreneurs bootcamp where she will pitch her ideas and answer a serious of questions from which six finalists will be chosen.

Her project is entitled RIOTS programme (Reintegrating Offenders To Society) and she will be hoping to beat off the competition to claim the 500 thousand euro in funding up for grabs .

Since 2005, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has provided support to 142 social entrepreneurs, directly investing over €3.7m into supporting these exceptional individuals.

These in turn have directly supported over 170,000 people and indirectly helped another 300,000 people.
