Clare’s Dog Warden has promised to prosecute those in breach of new XL Bully rules to the fullest extent of the law.
From February 1st, only owners with a valid exemption certificate are permitted to own the breed, otherwise it will be seized.

It follows a number of devastating incidents involving XL Bullys this year and most notably an attack which led to the death of Limerick woman Nicole Morey in June.
Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says there will be no exceptions made for those who dont abide by the law.
