Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning pet owners not to leave your dog unattended while on holidays.

Frankie Coote says dogs must be kept under control at all times, and failing to do so could result in hefty fines.

He says a number of dogs have been seized in recent years, as they were left to roam, while ther owners were away.

He’s hopeful that this can be avoided for the remainder of the summer period this year.
