A dog has survived a 90-metre plunge into the Atlantic from a cliff in West Clare.
The alarm was raise on Sunday afternoon after the Jack Russell, named Vimes, lost his footing and fell into the sea at Lookout Point near Kilkee.
He luckily avoided the rocks on the way down and managed to swim to the base of the cliff.
He was eventually picked up by the Kilkee unit of the Irish Coast Guard.
