Efforts are being stepped up in Ennis to ensure that the county town is well-served by access to life-saving defibrillators.
A new committee was set up earlier this year, bringing together members of the Civil Defence, HSE and the Clare Branch of the Irish Red Cross.

Two new mobile defibs have been purchased for the town, following a grant of €5,000, with the necessary training also covered by that fund.
Garda Ken Butler of Ennis Garda Station says they’ve made sure that the town is covered by well-prepared first responders.
