Plans for a new Tesco four island petrol station in West Clare have been given the greeen light.
Kilrush Town Council concluded that the proposed development wouldn’t injure the amenity of the area despite claims that it would lead to job losses locally.
The Irish Petrol Retailers Association had fought the application claiming that it would result in the loss of a significant proportion of the 100 people employed in the industry in West Clare.
