Two Clare Competitors have secured third place in their respective categories at this year’s National Ploughing Championships.
Sinead Corbet from Newmarket on Fergus competed in the U28 Mixed while Sixmilebridge’s Barry Donnellan took part in the U21 category- both of which took place yesterday with final results released this morning.
Today five more competitors are in action – Kilkishen’s Ger Frost, Kildysart’s Ger Hannon, Paul Browne from Cratloe, Jim Cronin from Bridgetown and Meelick’s John White.
Thousand more are attending day two of the ploughing championships which are taking place in Wexford with hundreds of stands promoting farm machinery and goods as well as Irish food products.
