Council To Write To Housing Minister Seeking ‘Timelines’ On Pyrite Redress Scheme

Clare County Council is to write to the Housing Minister to seek ‘timelines’ for when homeowners impacted by pyrite here will be told they’re eligible to access State redress.

People who own homes impacted by the mineral in this county were added to the Defective Concrete Blocks scheme earlier this year, along with those in Limerick, at an estimated cost of 500 million euro.

Shannon-based Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn says residents need certainty from the Government.
