Calls For Dedicated Crisis Management Plan To Service UHL

Fresh calls are being made for a dedicated crisis management plan to address persistent overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.

The INMO recorded 115 patients on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility during Monday morning’s rounds, with the figure being the third highest recorded at any hospital nationwide.

The HSE’s current urgent and emergency care plan aims to mitigate patient experience times through targeted hospital avoidance and ED operations.

 

However, Ballyvaughan based spokesperson for the MidWest Hospitals Campaign, Noeleen Moran believes efforts to alleviate pressure at UHL have been thoroughly inadequate.
