A Clare Government TD believes Shannon Heritage sites in this county are being ‘neglected’ amid ongoing delays of the transfer of their operations to the local authority.
Negotiations between Clare County Council and several Government departments about a potential 15 million euro package to ensure the transfer of the sites are continuing.
It’s understood a working group set up by the Minister for Transport to explore how Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Knappogue Castle and Craggaunowen can be handed over met for the first time last week.
Speaking in the Dail, Meelick-based Fianna Fail Deputy Cathal Crowe says the issue has been dragging on for too long.
