Locals in Doonbeg are expressing disappointment at the cancellation of a visit planned by former US President Donald Trump.
The owner of the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel had been due to travel with members of his family for a two night stay this week, but it’s been called off following an FBI search of his Florida home.
The former President has claimed his passports were taken by investigators, though US officials insist this is not the case.
Liam Ryan of the Doughmore Coastal Protection group says the event would have provided a much needed boost for West Clare.
