A new state-of-the-art €1 million Multi-Service Innovation Centre is officially being opened in Ennistymon today.

Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring will cut the ribbon on the former Super Valu building on Parliament Street, which has been refurbished and turned into the digital hub.

It’s the fourth such development in the county and will provide a high-tech space for workers, commuters and visitors to the area who need the use of a connected office.

Head of Information Systems with Clare County Council Urban McMahon outlines how the new facility will work:

Meanwhile, the Minister will also turn the sod on the new county library at glór in Ennis this morning.

The new €8.6 million facility is expected to open in 2021.
