An ex-Garda who’s the Vice Chair of Clare’s Beef Plan Group says bailiffs may be needed to prevent trespassing on farmer’s lands in North Clare.

It follows concerns being raised about people hunting for rabbits and foxes without permission in Lisacnnor at this week’s Joint Policing Committee meeting.

Pat Nagle is describing the situation in the area as a ‘powder keg waiting to explode’.

The Ballycotton resident says more manpower may be needed to combat the problem.
