Fleadh na Mumhan 2019 is drawing to a close in Ennis this morning.

The eight-day event has been another roaring success for the county town, marking four consecutive years of hosting some of the biggest traditional music festivals in the country.

While the Gig Rig in the Abbey Street car park didn’t go ahead on account of adverse weather conditions last evening, it didn’t dampen spirits, with a free Ceilí taking place instead in Cois na hAbhna.

The All-Ireland Fleadh takes place from 11am this morning, with the farewell session is due to be held in The Sanctuary at the Queens Hotel.

Chairperson of Fleadh na Mumhan Joe Arkins says it’s been an incredible boost for Ennis.
