Lisdoonvarna Set To Come Alive With Appalachian Music

Lisdoonvarna is set to come alive this weekend with the third All-Ireland gathering of Appalachian music enthusiasts.

Musicians from Ireland, the US and further afield will be in attendance in the festival, which celebrates the folk, country and bluegrass music that originated in the region of Appalachia in the east of the USA.

The weekend kicks off from 7 o’clock this evening, running until Sunday, and there will be stages set up at the Roadside Tavern and the Burren Smokehouse restaurant.
