The artist behind the controversial Puca statue which had been due to be erected in Ennistymon wants a decision on the works’ fate to be made by the end of the month.
Clare County Council has confirmed that following consultation with the local community, the piece will be offered to other towns and villages around the North of the county.
The statue provoked a mixed response when initially unveiled last May, with nearly half of 720 respondents to a Council survey last year saying they ‘really disliked’ it.
Puca artist Aidan Harte says he wants a call made on the future of the work sooner rather than later.
