Siemens Investment “Significant” As Economy Re-Opens Says Shannon Chamber

Shannon Chamber has described a seven million euro investment by Siemens as significant for the entire region as the economy re-opens.

Siemens Digital Industries Software is to establish a software research and development group in Shannon, with 25 new roles coming on stream in the next three years.

Formerly Mentor Graphics, the company has had a significant presence in Shannon for over 20 years, with 150 people currently employed there.

 

CEO of Shannon Chamber, Helen Downes has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that this investment showcases Shannon’s reputation, at a time when there’s a pipeline of talent coming from TUS and UL.
