Cutting of Shannon landbank to ease fodder crisis continues

Hundreds more bales are expected to be cut from Shannon Airport’s landbank today as part of efforts to address the fodder crisis.

The process got underway yesterday afternoon after managment at Clare’s International Airport cleared the way for local IFA representatives to clear up to 300 acres on the airfield.

The fodder is then being distributed through local co-ops and the Clare branch of the Irish Farmers Association at 12.30 a bale.
