People have until midnight tonight to sign up to pay the government’s Household Charge via direct debit, in four 25-euro instalments.

The coalition aims to make 160 million euro from the fee, which is being replaced with a property tax from next year.
Meanwhile bus loads of protesters from around the country are travelling to Dublin later for a protest against the Household Charge.
