Clare’s tourism industry has received a welcomed double boost.
The ‘Céad Míle Fáilte’ campaign, which saw staff at over 150 Clare companies undergo specific training to assist them in engaging with visitors has been honoured as the ‘Best Tourism Initiative’ in the L.A.M.A Community and Council Awards.
Meanwhile, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark has been shortlisted for an international tourism award.
The World Travel and Tourism Council has confirmed the Geopark as one of 18 finalists for its prestigious Tourism for Tomorrow Awards – this year, award applications were received from 56 countries, across all continents.
