€11M Investment To End Discharge Of Raw Sewerage Into Shannon Estuary

The West Clare Capital is set to reap the rewards of a multi-million euro project that will prevent the discharge of raw sewerage into the Shannon Estuary.

It comes as Uisce Eireann has this week completed the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in Kilrush.

The €11m investment also involves the installation of new sewer pipelines and upgrades to the existing pumping station on Frances Street.
