Over €200k In Drugs Seized At Shannon Airport

Drugs with an estimated value of 210,000 euro have been seized at Shannon Airport.

As a result of routine operations at the Midwest facility today, Revenue officers seized over 10.5kgs of suspected herbal cannabis.

The illegal drugs were discovered concealed in parcels that had arrived in air cargo consignments from the United States and were destined for addresses in Tipperary.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing work targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity.
