34,000 has been spent on housing a homeless family in Clare.
The figure is reported in today’s Irish Examiner, which has highlighted how the sum is among the highest amounts being paid to provide emergency accomodation in the country.
The report also outlines how a quarter of a million euro is being spent to keep eight families in hotels in Cork, and the figures have prompted calls for an examination of the system, and whether the funding could be better utilised.
