East Clare Councillor Urges Landowners To Engage With Hedge Cutting Scheme To Aid Road Safety

An East Clare councillor is encouraging rural landowners to engage with hedge cutting schemes in the interest of road safety.

It comes as Clare County Council has opened its Community Hedge Cutting Grant Scheme heading into the open season.

The local authority is set to offer €15,000 as part of the recommencement which will facilitate grants of €50 per kilometre of hedgerow cut.
