Emergency landing flight at Shannon resumes journey this morning.

A transatlantic aircraft with hundreds of people on board forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon will resume its journey today.

Virgin Atlantic Flight 76 which was travelling from Orlando to Manchester had to divert to the Mid West Airport yesterday morning due to technical problems

Virgin sent engineers from the UK to resolve the problem with the aircraft while the 336 passengers on board were bushed to hotels in Ennis and Limerick overnight.

They will resume their journey on the original aircraft at 10 o’clock this morning
