Clare Businessman John Slattery has been appointed president and CEO-elect of GE Aviation.
The company is the world-leading provider of jet and turboprop engines, as well as integrated systems for commercial, military, business and general aviation aircraft.
The Ennis man is currently president and CEO of Commercial Aviation for Brazilian aircraft manufacture Embraer.
