The Food Safety Authority of Ireland served eleven Closure Orders on food businesses around the country in November and secured one successful prosecution against a business in Clare.
Alonwith details of closures and prohibition orders on food safety concerns, the FSAI says the Health Service Executive carried out a successful prosecution against the Food Emporium Restaurant on Francis Street in Ennis last month.
The Chief Executive of the Food Safety Authority has expressed disappointment at the continuing high number of Closure Orders being served on food businesses throughout the country.
