An Ennis School has become the latest school in the county to be presented with an An Taisce Green Flag.
St. Clares School on the Gort Rd has been honoured for its work in introducing and implementing a sustainable water programme and raising awareness in relation to water conservation to the wider community.
Five local schools have received their first An Taisce Green Flag for Litter and Waste.
A further 38 Clare schools have renewed theirs under the themes of energy, water, travel, biodiversity, Global Citizenship Energy, and Global Citizenship Litter and Waste.
Green-Schools is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.
