Ennis will find out today if its bid to host Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann has finally been successful.

The traditional music festival normally attracts up to  three hundred thousand visitors and is worth 40 million euro in revenue to the hosts.

In 2011 Clare’s County Town narrowly missed out to Cavan on staging the event while last year Ennis withdrew its  entry to faciliate Derry which will host the Fleadh this summer- the first time in 60 years it’s gone north of the border.

Ennis is up against Sligo and Drogeda to host the event in 2014 and  Micheal O’Riabhaigh  who’s part of the working group for Fleadh Ceoil outlines what will happen today
