The cotroversial LIV golf tour could be coming to West Clare.
The breakaway tour is funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and has been widely criticised.
It’s reported that Eric Trump has said there’s “no question” that the course at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg is capable of hosting it.
The Doonbeg course was designed by former golfer Greg Norman, who is chief executive of LIV.
Eric Trump has told the Irish Times that the Trump Organisation has “indirectly” spoken to LIV organisers about bringing the tour here.
