ESB Networks insists that every step is being taken to minimise disruption to residents in the Turnpike area of Ennis during planned electricity outages in the area this week.

There will be a continuous outage between 9am and 5pm on Friday, to allow for what is called the urgent repair of two electricity poles and the installation of a fiber network on the ESB overhead lines.

In a statement to Clare FM, ESB Networks has apologised for the inconvenience to local residents saying the outage cannot be avoided, but the company says the works will bring significant long term benefits to the people of Ennis.
