The mother of the late Estlin Wall says she’s ‘heartbroken’ after a judge restored early the driving licence for the person whose careless driving caused the toddler’s death.

Judge Francis Comerford restored the driver’s licence for 66-year-old Senan O’Flaherty yesterday despite Garda objections.

The judge deferred the restoration of Mr O’Flaherty’s licence until April 10th out of respect for the upcoming sixth anniversary of the fatal crash, along with what would have been Estlin’s 10th birthday.

Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Estlin’s mother Amy Dutil-Wall says the court process has been long and difficult for her and the rest of the family.
