Family Of West Clare Murder Victim Insists Killer Should Never Be Released

The brother of a West Clare murder victim has vowed to do everything in his power to ensure his sister’s killer remains behind bars.

Today marks the 19th anniversary of Ann Walsh, who lost her life at the age of just 23, when she was strangled by her former boyfriend on the grounds of the local church.

Raymond Donovan subsequently received a life sentence and although his most recent application for parole was refused last year, he will be eligible to apply again in April – something Ann’s family will have to make presentations against.
