A Kilkee man fears ‘people will be lost’ due to a decision not to adopt recommendations to include more detailed questions on gender in Census 2022.
The CSO is to randomly assign a gender to those who don’t fill in either of the ‘male’ or ‘female’ options on this year’s document.

The Census is to be filled out this Sunday, with transgender equality campaigners describing the move as ‘discouraging’.
