The Fine Gael Line-up for the General Election in Clare could be known later today.
The party has already selected sitting TDs Pat Breen and Joe Carey to contest the general election, but one or more other candidates have yet to be added on to the local ticket.
The Fine Gael National Executive is meeting in Dublin today where the addition of Clare candidates will be discussed.
Shannon Councillor Tony Mulcahy, Ennistymon Councillor Martin Conway and former Kilrush TD Madeline Taylor Quinn have all expressed their interest in being nominated by the party and one or two of them could by approved by headquarters later.
