Shoppers in Ennis will be able to park for free again this Christmas season.
Clare County Council has confirmed that from Friday, December 8th, shoppers can park free of charge at public car parks every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3pm.
Its one of a number of initiatives being organised by the local authority in the run up to Christmas, including extended opening hours, the pedestrianisation of the main streets in the town and Ennis Street Radio.
Mayor of Ennis, Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy says it will provide a welcome boost for retailers.
