Fresh Calls For Blake’s Corner Traffic Warden After Elderly Tourists Forced To Direct Traffic

There are fresh calls on Clare County Council to employ traffic wardens for Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon, after elderly tourists were forced to direct vehicles there.

Local man Micahel Gallery claims traffic was brought to a standstill in the North Clare town at lunchtime on one day this week when a British-registered tourist bus broke down on the Ennis side of the traffic blackspot.

Two elderly men, who were visiting from overseas and were passengers on the bus towards the Cliffs of Moher, got out to help cars get past.
